The Five Love Languages theory was developed by Gary Chapman, and claims that every individual has a primary way in which they feel most loved and valued by their partner. These five languages are: Words of Affirmation, Quality Time, Physical Touch, Acts of Service, and Receiving Gifts. Understanding one's love language and that of their partner, enables couples to communicate and express love in a way that is most meaningful and effective to the other. This can lead to a deeper connection and a stronger relationship.
Quality Time Love Language refers to the need to spend one-on-one, undivided attention with their partner. People who have this love language value making memories and engaging in activities together. They appreciate when their partner puts in effort to plan activities and spend quality time with them. People who value Quality Time, may not respond well when their partner is always busy, or if their partner is often distracted (like on their phone) when spending time with them.
